Capture real transport shocks and vibration with SAVER recorders, then reproduce them in the lab to quantify how a pallet or unit load actually behaves.

The Load Stability Test System addresses the complex dynamic forces a pallet or unit load meets across storage, handling and transport. When a vehicle brakes or accelerates, the load sees horizontal forces along the direction of travel; cornering adds lateral forces; potholes, rail crossings, dock plates and transfers produce short-duration shocks; and continuous vibration causes granular settling, product migration inside secondary and tertiary packaging, and abrasion between adjacent units. Combined, these inputs can make a load slide, tilt or deform, and in extreme cases collapse partly or completely.
The system closes the loop between field measurement and laboratory simulation. Field data recorders such as the Lansmont SAVER are mounted on or inside the load to record shock peaks and durations, multi-axis vibration, overall acceleration profiles over selected routes, and drop height of short-term impacts. This data characterizes the customer's actual distribution environment, shows how it differs from recognized standards such as ISTA and EUMOS, and reveals variability and unusual events within a supply chain.
With enough field data, engineers build laboratory test profiles: vibration spectra for different routes and vehicle types, characteristic shock pulses, and target levels and durations for repeated cycles. Lansmont vibration test systems (Model 1000, Model 1800, Model 10000 vertical shakers), the PDT 300 precision drop tester and TouchTest Shock controls then reproduce those inputs under controlled, repeatable conditions. Users apply measured vibration profiles, watch loads settle, shift or degrade over time, and compare alternative packaging, pallet patterns and securing methods under identical conditions. Results feed internal packaging specifications, palletisation and wrapping guidance, and ongoing quality and logistics checks.
