Overview

TP3 ETC is the in-depth analysis software package within Lansmont's Test Partner 3 system, adding Extended Transient Computations so engineers can examine the fine details of a captured shock event. Paired with TP3 acquisition hardware, it accepts voltage-mode accelerometers and instrumentation directly without any additional signal conditioning, and runs on a USB-equipped notebook or PC in the field or the lab.

On the acquisition side, the system acquires up to sixteen channels of acceleration data simultaneously from shock, drop or any kind of impact event, at 16-bit resolution and 1 MHz sampling, enough to resolve short, sharp pulses. The analysis suite covers Shock Response Spectra (SRS), shock response in the time domain, an ideal waveform shown with SRS target and tolerance, the SRS Visualizer, force/deflection/energy calculations, rotational shock and FFT, giving a complete path from raw transient waveform to engineering criteria.

Data output is flexible: results can be printed to paper, exported to PDF or Word, or shared through Publish to the Web. That makes it easy to keep colleagues or customers informed across the hall or across the world, and supports review and traceability.

Within the Test Partner family, TP3 ETC is the step up from TP3 Lite. Where Lite supports routine drop and shock verification for packaging designers, ETC targets engineering analysis that needs detailed transient computation and complete reporting, complementing the higher-channel-count Test Partner 4 acquisition system.
