Overview

TP3 LITE is the entry-level software package in Lansmont's Test Partner 3 family, aimed at packaging designers who need to verify the drop and shock performance of their designs. Its guiding idea is elegance through simplicity: the workflow is reduced to the essentials so users get dependable results with minimal setup and can judge whether a package meets its requirements without being a shock-analysis specialist.

The software runs on a USB-equipped notebook or PC and connects directly to voltage-mode accelerometers and instrumentation, with no additional signal conditioning hardware, so it works in the lab or the field. Analysis performance is 16-bit resolution at 1 MHz sampling, enough to record short drop-shock pulses. Displays support automatic or fixed scaling, extended analysis can run automatically according to user preference, any three active channels can be combined into a tri-axial resultant, and deflection-vs-time analysis helps designers understand how a cushioning structure deforms under shock.

Sharing data is equally flexible: results can be printed to paper, exported to PDF or Word, or published to the web so colleagues and customers can view them immediately.

Within the Test Partner family, TP3 LITE teams with TP3 ETC and Test Partner 4 in a stepped lineup: LITE handles routine drop/shock verification, TP3 ETC adds deeper transient computation, and Test Partner 4 provides high-channel-count acquisition when required.
