Overview

The Lansmont SqueezerPro is a bench-top universal compression tester for assessing unit loads, individual packages, components and materials under compressive load. It is purpose-built for packaging performance work, revealing how board medium, closures, interior partitions and other design variables affect compressive strength, and it can also run distribution-simulation compression tests on individual packages. The bench-top format serves both production QC and R&D labs.

Rated capacity is 25 kN (25,000 N / 5,500 lbf / 2,500 kgf) with an accuracy of +/-0.5% of reading to EN ISO 7500-1:2015 Class 0.5 and ASTM E4. Load resolution is 1:50,000 and the sampling rate is 20 kHz, with a maximum data-acquisition rate of 1000 Hz. Crosshead travel reaches 48 in (1220 mm); displacement accuracy is +/-1% of indicated position or +/-0.1 mm, whichever is greater, across a speed range of 0.01-1000 mm/min. The standard platen measures 44 x 30 in (1117 x 762 mm) with a 48 in (1220 mm) maximum opening and can be configured fixed or floating. Distance between columns is 31 in (800 mm), vertical daylight 48 in (1220 mm), and the instrument weighs about 400 kg on 230V/50Hz or 110V/60Hz power at 750 W.

Precision bearings minimise play in the column and keep alignment tight for repeatable results, while a coloured LED controller gives clear real-time status. VectorPro software drives the system, graphing load-cell and displacement-encoder data in real time with method templates, drag-and-drop custom calculations, batch testing, PDF/Excel reporting and an electronic-signature audit trail for FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.

The SqueezerPro meets ISTA 6-Amazon, ASTM D642-20, ISO 12048 and TAPPI T804, covering cardboard, fiberboard and finished-package compression testing.
