Overview

The CoCo-80X and CoCo-90X are Crystal Instruments' flagship handheld dynamic signal analyzers. A single unit works as a data recorder, spectrum analyzer and vibration data collector for fast, accurate field recording with real-time processing. The battery-powered handheld features a 7-inch 800x480 color touchscreen (1300 NITS) plus USB 2.0, 100Base-T Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, SD card, HDMI, CAN-bus/serial and GPS connectivity, so files, remote control and software upgrades can be handled on the unit itself.

The CoCo-80X is factory-configured with 2, 4 or 8 input channels (all shipped with 8 physical BNC connectors and field-upgradable by software); the CoCo-90X offers 16 channels. Each channel uses two 24-bit ADCs for a 150 dBFS dynamic range (100 Hz to 20 kHz), better than 0.3-degree channel phase match to 20 kHz, +/-20 Vpk input range and selectable AC/DC/IEPE coupling. Sampling spans 0.48 Hz to 102.4 kHz in 54 stages, and the removable SD card (128 GB included, up to 256 GB) records 8 channels simultaneously while real-time frequency and time-domain calculations run.

Two software modes are supported. DSA mode covers mechanical structure analysis, test optimization and a wide range of other applications; Route mode is dedicated to route-based machine condition monitoring, data collection and trending, synchronizing parameters, routes and measured data with a PC database. Analysis functions include FFT spectra, octave analysis and sound level meter, vibration intensity, modal data acquisition, order tracking, shock response spectrum, rotor balancing and FRF measurement.
