Crystal Instruments CoCo-70X Handheld Vibration Analyzer

The CoCo-70X is Crystal Instruments' latest handheld vibration analyzer, with a redesigned chassis and a more intuitive user interface. It is a four-channel analyzer with an IP-67 rating, built specifically for the machinery predictive maintenance (PdM) community. Four input channels arrive through a 9-pin LEMO connector supporting IEPE, single-ended, AC and DC coupling, and each channel uses dual 24-bit A/D converters for a 150 dBFS dynamic range with a +/-20 V input range; a LEMO-to-BNC adapter is included. One signal source output (100 dB dynamic range) and one tachometer input share the same connector.

The new chassis is lighter and more rugged, and the IP-67 protection withstands up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes, making it well suited to route-based work in harsh environments. A 6.5-inch 800x480 color display, 235 x 188 x 48.26 mm dimensions and 1.65 kg including battery keep it field-friendly; a 15 V DC supply draws at most 12 W and the battery runs 7 to 9 hours.

In Route mode the unit measures 1 or 3 channels (tri-axis) with the tachometer channel enabled or disabled, supporting live signal view/hold, saved-data review, previous/next measurement entry and point/route management. All analysis, display and save parameters are pre-configured so difficult machine problems can be diagnosed without setup. Results are stored in the VDS database, and jobs manage off-route measurements. For experts, the full DSA-mode toolset of the CoCo-80X is available, covering FFT, averaging, windowing, auto and cross power spectra, FRF, coherence, real-time filters, RMS, octave analysis, order tracking and limiting/alarm/abort, plus 2-plane balancing across acceleration, velocity, displacement and tachometer.
