Overview

The Spider-30R is an ultra-compact, high-performance data acquisition system engineered for vibration and structural measurement in challenging environments. With a rugged aluminum enclosure, sealed M-type connectors and high dynamic range, it brings laboratory-grade signal quality into a field-deployable package. Measuring just 110 x 110 x 50 mm and weighing 0.65 lb, it mounts easily on rigs, vehicles or in confined spaces. On the acquisition side, the Spider-30R offers six 24-bit sigma-delta input channels, ideal for driving two tri-axial IEPE sensors, with AC or IEPE coupling (22.5 V / 4.2 mA), a +/-10 V input range, 500 kOhm impedance, a sampling range of 0.48 Hz to 102.4 kHz and 45 kHz maximum bandwidth. Dynamic range reaches up to 140 dB, preserving accuracy from low to high amplitudes, while digital anti-aliasing provides 95 dB attenuation, amplitude match stays within +/-0.05 dB and phase match within 0.15 degrees at 20 kHz, and THD is -90 dB at 1 kHz, suiting array measurements that demand tight phase consistency. Environmental tolerance is a core strength: the enclosure is shock-tested to 50 g, an optional Extreme-Shock variant reaches 1000 g, operating temperature spans -20 to +55 degrees Celsius, and the unit is qualified against sine, random and shock vibration. Data is stored on a non-removable microSD card (4 GB default, up to 32 GB), power draw is under 6 W at 24 VDC input, and a real-time clock with +/-3.5 ppm accuracy and a 10-year backup battery supports auto power-on timers. With sealed M-type connectors and industrial ruggedization, it serves both structural vibration testing in the lab and permanently mounted predictive-maintenance front-ends.
