Lansmont Field-to-Lab Consulting Service

Field-to-Lab is Lansmont's transport-environment measurement consultancy. It helps a company move from raw field data to a test plan that actually reflects its own supply chain rather than a generic standard. The service covers three stages: field measurement studies, data analysis, and development of the laboratory test specification.

The service rests on the SAVER range of environmental data recorders, which capture shock, vibration, drop and temperature/humidity data in the real distribution environment. Working from measured data, Lansmont engineers help define vibration spectra for specific routes and vehicle types, select characteristic shock pulses, and set target levels and durations for repeatable lab test cycles.

Three service tiers are offered. Tier 1, Virtual Data Analysis, provides remote expert guidance for customers who run their own testing, covering pre-test alignment, remote support during testing, data analysis and a debrief. Tier 2, Onsite SAVER Support, brings a specialist to site for instrument training, mounting and installation guidance, data download and processing, and interpretation of shock and vibration data. Tier 3, Complete Field-to-Lab Coaching, is an end-to-end engagement covering needs assessment, setup, configuration and calibration, in-depth analysis with tailored reporting, and on-site support to streamline testing and data collection.

The goal is straightforward: more valid testing, more value from the data already collected, and packaging and securing decisions grounded in what a product's journey is really like.
