Overview

The CI environmental testing lab provides complete vibration, temperature, humidity and combined-environment testing services. Equipment is updated annually and uses patented technology such as multi-resolution spectrum analysis, and dedicated lab engineers set up and run each program to military, ISO, ASTM and other industry standards, delivering results with direct engineering support.

The main single-axis platform is the H10056A-PA3110-HST1200M water-cooled system: 98 kN peak sine force, 98 kN rms random force and 196 kN shock force (6 ms), driving a 1200 x 1200 mm high-pressure slip table. Its useful frequency range is 5-2400 Hz, with 51 mm continuous displacement, 2 m/s maximum velocity, 980 m/s2 (100 g) peak sine acceleration and a 1500 kg maximum static payload; the amplifier is over 90 percent efficient. It suits medium to large electronic parts, connectors, hand-held units and large mechanical assemblies. Small electronics, connectors and small assemblies are handled by the 5.88 kN air-cooled L0620M-PAS106 system, spanning 5-5000 Hz with a 200 kg maximum static payload. Methods include random, sine, shock and time waveform replication.

For multiple-axis work the lab uses a Sentek Dynamics MA-1000-4H air-cooled simultaneous three-axis system: 9.8 kN peak sine, 6.86 kN rms random and 14.7 kN shock force per axis, a 5-2000 Hz useful range and a 70 kg maximum static payload. Air-isolation feet remove the need for a seismic floor, MIL-STD-810G requirements are met directly, and test time can be cut by up to two thirds. When a specimen is too heavy or too large for a single shaker, a MESA arrangement is used: the Sentek M5044A-PA155-LST900M air-cooled system delivers 49 kN sine and random and 98 kN shock (6 ms) force, spans 5-2500 Hz and carries a 1000 kg maximum static payload, with multiple shakers driving the specimen along one axis.

Temperature and humidity testing spans -70 C to 150 C. The THV-1200-5 chamber offers 1200 L internal volume and 1100 x 1100 x 1000 mm interior, with +/-0.5 C fluctuation, no more than 2 C uniformity, +/-2 C deviation, a 5 C/min ramp rate from -45 C to 80 C and 20-98 percent RH humidity. An AGREE chamber (also 5 C/min) combined with a 32 kN shaker and an 800 x 800 mm low-pressure slip table applies temperature, humidity and vibration together in one chamber, running the AGREE combined method and issuing a single comprehensive report.
