Overview

The SAVER 3X90 is a research-grade field recorder in Lansmont's SAVER line, positioned as a best-in-class instrument for its class. It is a self-powered, compact unit with built-in triaxial accelerometer plus temperature and humidity sensors, designed for unattended capture of shock and vibration data in the field.

Recording is full-waveform at 16-bit resolution, with selectable sampling rates of 50, 100, 200, 250, 500, 1000, 2500 and 5000 samples per second. Full-scale ranges of 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 g are available, along with a 4-pole low-pass Butterworth anti-alias filter (10–500 Hz cut-off) and a 3 dB frequency response starting at 0.4 Hz.

The recorder samples continuously and writes to flash memory only when a user-defined trigger threshold is exceeded, with user-defined pre-trigger recording to preserve the full sequence around an event. Time-triggered recording at user-selectable wake-up intervals is also supported. Power comes from user-replaceable 9V lithium or alkaline batteries, giving up to 90 days of continuous field operation, and an LED shock alarm indicator is included.

All acceleration time histories and temperature/humidity readings are timestamped and can be analyzed in SaverXware to derive drop height, impacts, vehicle motion, vibration and temperature/humidity cycles. Compared with the 15-day SAVER 3D15, the 3X90 extends the acceleration range to 200 g and the run time to 90 days, suiting long-deployment transport monitoring and R&D measurement tasks.
