The Lansmont MS2000 is a mechanical shaker that uses an eccentric cam drive to reproduce the repetitive shocks and bouncing a package sees in truck and container transport. The machine switches quickly between circular-synchronous and vertical-linear motion, so one unit covers both test modes and handles individual packages or containers up to 2,000 lbs (907 kg).
The standard test platform is a 60 x 60 in (152 x 152 cm) wood deck, durable and replaceable. Displacement is fixed at 1.0 in (2.54 cm), the operating frequency runs from 2 to 4.7 Hz, and peak acceleration reaches 1.25 g. A quiet variable-speed DC motor and synchronous belt drive keep the machine running smoothly, while a handheld controller and precision speed/frequency sensor make settings accurate and repeatable.
The drive train is fully enclosed for 360 degree access, with externally accessible grease fittings, perimeter restraints, an optional tall fence, and a pencil-holder accessory that supports ISTA equipment certification. Optional safety interlocks disable the system when triggered.
The MS2000 performs repetitive shock, loose-load, and bounce tests to ISTA, ASTM, TAPPI, ISO, MIL-STD, UN, and DOT standards, making it an entry-level mechanical vibration platform for transport-packaging qualification and routine quality checks.
