Overview

The HSX30/122 is one of the flagship models in Lansmont's Extreme High Speed shock series, offering table sizes from 30 x 30 cm up to 60 x 60 cm for tasks that need a large platform and an extreme shock level at the same time. Every machine is built around a super heavy-duty load frame that both supports the structure and safely contains the integrated table acceleration boost system. That boost doubles the machine's free-fall velocity change capability, reaching extreme conditions that ordinary drop tables cannot deliver.

Dual-mode operation is the defining feature. Run as pure free fall without the boost, the system carries payloads up to 2,000 lbs (907 kg) for heavy specimens. Switch to accelerated mode and the maximum payload drops to 250 lbs (113 kg) in exchange for far higher shock levels. Depending on configuration, the machine achieves velocity changes up to 100 ft/sec (30.5 m/sec) and peak accelerations up to 10,000 g with test specimens up to 100 lbs (45 kg). A suspended seismic reaction mass with an integrated impact surface is isolated from the floor to limit shock transmission into the building.

A Lansmont TouchTest Shock (TTS) controller is standard for safe operation and synchronized data, and a dual electric hoist lift system positions the table. Typical applications include spacecraft and satellite components, high-g screening of large electronic equipment, and heavy test items that demand both a large table and extreme acceleration.
