Overview

The Lansmont Model 95/115 is a vertical shock test system with an enlarged table, aimed at test articles larger and heavier than the standard models can carry. Standard maximum payload is 1,000 lbs (454 kg), and a heavyweight version raises this to 2,500 lbs (1,135 kg). The cast-aluminum table measures 95 x 115 cm (37.4 x 45.3 in) and produces high-fidelity half-sine and trapezoidal shock pulses for whole-product and large-component evaluation.

The machine generates controlled shocks through free-fall drops and pulse programmers. A Damage Boundary Programmer produces short-duration half-sine and long-duration trapezoidal pulses, covering the pulse shapes common in damage boundary and fragility testing. An electric hoist lifting and positioning system keeps the drop height repeatable so pulse amplitude and duration stay consistent. The system includes the TouchTest Shock (TTS) tabletop controller, which centralizes drop control and parameter setup on a touch interface and connects seamlessly with Test Partner data acquisition for coordinated waveform capture and reporting.

Typical test articles include large appliances, industrial equipment, palletized loads and heavy products whose structure must be verified against transport and handling hazards. Within the Lansmont shock range, the 95/115 is a mid-to-large standard model: its table and payload capacity exceed the smaller P16/30 and P30/45, while its 600 g ceiling sits below those high-performance small-table machines, making it the choice for larger articles at low to moderate acceleration. Options include a low-frequency seismic base, dual mass shock amplifiers (10,000 g+), low impulse kits, opposing-force gas programmers for half-sine pulses of 30+ ms, hold-down fixtures and additional pulse programmers.
