Overview

The Model 152 is the extra-large-table model in Lansmont's standard shock test line, with a table measuring 152 x 152 cm (60 x 60 in) and a payload capacity of 2000 lbs (907 kg). That pairing lets it test bulky or heavy products, or several items at once. A cast aluminum table produces highly repeatable shock pulses, keeping results stable and comparable from run to run.

Five Damage Boundary Programmers generate the short-duration half-sine and long-duration trapezoidal pulses used in fragility work. Optional extra programmers extend the range to broader half-sine and terminal peak sawtooth waveforms. Maximum acceleration is 400 g with a maximum velocity change of 20 ft/sec (6.1 m/sec), a dependable shock level for a machine this size.

A TouchTest Shock (TTS) tabletop console handles operation safely and communicates seamlessly with Test Partner data acquisition. An electric hoist lift and positioning system delivers precise, repeatable drop heights. Options include a low-frequency seismic base to reduce shock energy into the floor, hold-down fixtures to secure specimens, an opposing force gas programmer for half-sine pulses longer than 30 ms, and additional programmers for longer-duration half-sine and terminal peak sawtooth pulses. Typical applications cover large appliances, palletized loads, and heavy industrial equipment, where its table size and repeatable pulses are the decisive advantages.
