Overview

The Model 65/81 is the most popular model in Lansmont's shock test line, aimed at small to mid-size components and systems. Its table measures 65 x 81 cm (25.6 x 31.9 in) and carries 227 kg (500 lbs). The blend of table size, payload capacity, and pulse quality is what makes it the preferred choice for so many applications, balancing versatility with test quality.

A Damage Boundary Programmer is standard, generating the two pulses most used in fragility work: a short-duration half-sine and a long-duration trapezoidal pulse. Maximum acceleration is 600 g with a maximum velocity change of 24 ft/sec (7.3 m/sec), and the cast aluminum table yields consistent, high-quality shock pulses. Optional extra programmers add long-duration half-sine and terminal peak sawtooth waveforms.

A TouchTest Shock (TTS) tabletop console is standard, making shock testing safe and easy, and it communicates seamlessly with Test Partner data acquisition. An electric hoist lift and positioning system delivers precise, repeatable drop heights. Options broaden its reach: hold-down fixtures to secure specimens, additional programmers for long-duration half-sine and terminal peak sawtooth pulses, and opposing force gas programmers for half-sine pulses longer than 30 ms. Typical applications include small to mid-size electronic equipment, component-level products, and packaged goods. A Low Impulse Kit extends low-level testing capability, and optional Dual Mass Shock Amplifiers reach acceleration levels above 10,000 g.
