Overview

The Model 122 is a representative model in Lansmont's standard shock test line, with a table measuring 122 x 122 cm (48 x 48 in). The combination of a large table and high payload capacity lets it test sizable products or several items at once, improving throughput. A cast aluminum table produces consistent shock pulses for repeatable results across runs.

Four Damage Boundary Programmers generate the short-duration half-sine and long-duration trapezoidal pulses commonly used in fragility work. Maximum acceleration is 600 g with a maximum velocity change of 24 ft/sec (7.3 m/sec). The standard machine carries 750 lbs (340 kg), and the optional heavyweight version raises the maximum payload to 2500 lbs (1135 kg), letting one machine cover a wider product range.

A TouchTest Shock (TTS) tabletop control console is standard, making operation safe and straightforward, and it communicates seamlessly with Test Partner data acquisition for a complete control-and-acquisition package. An electric hoist lift and positioning system delivers precise, repeatable drops. Optional items widen its reach further: a low-frequency seismic base to limit shock energy into the floor, low impulse kits to extend low-level testing, and dual mass shock amplifiers that push acceleration above 10,000 g, plus opposing force gas programmers for half-sine pulses longer than 30 ms. Typical applications include mid-to-large electronic equipment, major appliances, and packaged products.
